Accessible via a quick ferry ride across Moreton Bay, there are four beautiful, natural islands to discover – Karragarra Island, Macleay Island, Lamb Island & Russell Island (Canaipa). With our ferry services operated by Translink, you can use your GOcard or tap your credit or debit card (like the buses, trains and city cats!) for easy travel across to the islands or purchase a ticket on board with the deckhands (EFTPOS only). Inter-island travel is free of charge – leave your cards in your pockets and simply walk on and off as you make your way around our beautiful islands.
Enjoy the Aquatic playground with the likes of boating, fishing, crabbing or swimming in the many netted enclosures. Meander through the Islands’ conservation and wetland areas, play barefoot bowls or perhaps join the locals for a round of golf followed by dinner at the one of our clubs or cafes. Whether you are dining in or making use of the waterfront barbecue areas, neither the views nor the experience will disappoint – we offer that rare sight on the east coast of sunsets over water – all that spectacular light show and no long flight to Western Australia!
